The Arts Administration Assistant has a strong interest in a career in Arts Administration, a background in classical music, is extremely organized and detail oriented. This individual will engage with many clients and artists and must have exceptional communication skills. In addition, an aptitude for numbers is essential to support budgeting and bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn and execute a variety of activities essential to managing a performing art non-profit.

Job Responsibilities – will vary based on customer demands

  • Marketing
  • - Track and report on marketing activities for clients and partners
  • - Assist with social media postings, website updates and email blasts
  • - Support advertising administrative tasks
  • Operations
  • - Support various guest artist concert series: artist communication & coordination with venue.
  • - Support Contracted gigs: artist hiring, coordination with venue, assistance with music distribution if needed.
  • - Contribute to concert operations: carrying out hiring plans, organizing and distributing music, attending rehearsals and overseeing concert flow, managing artist hospitality/greenrooms.
  • General Administration Support
  • -Assist with Ticket Sales
  • -Database entries and maintenance
  • -Other Administrative tasks as requested
  • Finance
  • - Enter financial transactions into the organization’s financial system;
  • - With Controller, prepare reports as requested by staff and boards;
  • -Assist Controller with audit preparation;
