Join the Winning Futures team to help support our mission. This full-time position is responsible for internal fundraising activities where you will support our donors and sponsors, write proposals and small grants, implement sponsor benefits, and manage our CRM. This mid-level position will include training and growth opportunities - work directly with our Donor Relations Manager and CEO. Education and experience: Applicant should have at least an associate’s degree and at least five years of experience working in fundraising, account management, sales, or customer service.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with and provide support to our business sponsors.
  • Enter business/foundation prospects and benefits for donors into our online CRM system (Sumac). Manage the development and audit of the system.
  • Working with our marketing team, ensure all benefits for existing sponsors (100+ companies) are being fulfilled throughout the year.
  • Solicit program mentors for sponsorships and in-kind donations.
  • Communicate with sponsors regarding benefits and tickets for our fundraising events.
  • Research grant and funding opportunities, update grant support files, and write small grants.
  • Write business “ask” letters, update proposals, and create sponsor invoices.
  • Interact with new and returning sponsors regarding their proposals, invoices, and payments.
  • Assist CEO in managing donors and cultivating leads.
  • Oversee the stewardship of donors, including program updates, the offering of volunteer opportunities, handwritten notes, and other activities designed to position them for additional solicitation in the future.
  • Manage an AmeriCorps VISTA members.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Great customer service and follow up.
  • Extremely self-motivated and proactive.
  • Must be extremely organized, have a high attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using or managing a CRM is preferred.
  • Proficient using Office 365: Word, Excel, and Outlook (Intermediate level) and PowerPoint (Basic level).
  • Must use discretion when working with confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for both internal and external relationship development.
  • Must always demonstrate a very high professional demeanor.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the history and mission of Winning Futures.
  • Maintains composure under pressure.
  • Demonstrates a conscientious team mentality and respect for all members of the team.
