The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) — the premier contemporary art gallery supporting Detroit and Michigan artists — is hiring a gallery manager.

This position manages retail sales, visitor services, volunteer services, marketing, and exhibition installation. The gallery manager supervises an art handler and manages DAM’s part-time membership associate; oversees and restocks DAM’s Elements Sales Gallery; promotes DAM’s offerings via social media, e-mail marketing, and earned media; and, serves as the key liaison to artists. The gallery manager reports to the director and works closely with seasonal staff, contract workers, volunteers, and various committee members. This is a salaried position with health and dental benefits. Bachelor’s degree required, and two to five years of museum or art gallery experience preferred.
