Responsibilities

The User Experience Architect (XA) plays a key role in the creation of website experiences. The XA works with the UX director and senior experience architects in the development of interaction requirements, use cases, customer flows, navigation systems, page wireframes, and product taxonomy. To arrive at the final experience, the XA conducts stakeholder interviews, website reviews, content inventories, consumer research (via consumer definition, usability testing, tree testing, etc.). Through user-centered design and design-thinking methods, they identify design priorities, work through challenging scenarios, define interaction requirements and align them to short and long-term releases. The XA must be able to envision and articulate new ways for consumers to engage and interact with our clients’ brand. The experience architect must understand the nuances and relationship between aesthetics, usability, content strategy, front-end technologies and what it takes to connect it all to the very real implications of the platform. The role includes accountability for on-time/on-budget project performance and managing day-to-day project tasks and the quality of those deliverables.
