The American University of Rome offers the benefits of an American–style education taught by multinational faculty in an international setting to a student body representing every continent in the world. This program will appeal particularly to business majors pursuing the International Business Specialization and students majoring in the Colleges of Arts & Letters and Communication Arts and Sciences.

AUR is a comprehensive university that offers classes in business, humanities, social sciences, art, education, science and technology, computing and mathematical sciences.

The AUR is housed in a beautiful villa located on the crest of Rome’s highest hill, the Gianicolo, on the right bank of the Tiber River.  The villa has a complete range of facilities, classrooms, offices, library, student lounge, computer center, and auditorium.  Surrounded by its own garden, the campus is close to major parks and a full range of amenities including restaurants, cafes, theater, shopping, and residential areas.  Students can shop in the outdoor markets, take advantage of the extensive bus system to discover the wonders of Rome and learn to appreciate the artistic and culinary attractions of the city.
