Students gain hands-on experience and learn new skills relating to work in a nonprofit arts organization. We are proud that over the past several years, Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center interns have transitioned into career opportunities including: the Flint Institute of Arts, Art Train, Detroit Institute of Arts, and fine art galleries in Boston and Los Angeles. We believe that students benefit from their work at the gallery and education center and look forward to providing a mutually rewarding experience.

Qualifications: Passion for the arts is a must! Candidates should evidence professional appearance and conduct, strong communications and interpersonal skills. All candidates must be detail-oriented and committed to keeping scheduled days and times. Arts, education, marketing or communications background desirable. All internships offer students the opportunity for college credit and are unpaid. Each student’s specific duties are established based upon student interest and aptitude, as well as organizational needs.
