The Study Away Internship program in Washington DC puts you right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the nation’s capital. Internships in DC allow young professionals and students to live and work in one of the most exciting cities in the United States. 

The district is a city with a young population, rich history, and fantastic culture. With so many events and things to see you’ll always have something new to experience during your internship. This program provides you with a tailored internship, centrally located housing, social events, and more. Washington DC internships allow interns the chance to see national monuments to be immersed in a dynamic work culture, and make life-long friends from all around the world. 

The College of Arts & Letters partners with an organization that identifies customized internship placements for each student in industries such as historical/archival research, advertising, politics and law, NGO/nonprofit sector, community services, social entrepreneurship, government/policy, marketing, travel industry, and more.

Program Dates:  June 6 to August 1, 2020

Eligibility:  Open to all majors; 3.0 GPA minimum; Must be at junior (or rising junior) standing by program start date

Academics:  Students enroll in the AL 493A internship course for a minimum of 6 credits.

Application Deadline:  February 1, 2020

Estimated Program Fee: $5,300

Program Fee includes housing, placement services, and on-site support and professional development workshops. Program Fee does not include tuition, travel, local transportation, or personal spending money.
