Study Abroad/Away Scholarship

The CAL Study Abroad/Away Scholarship is a fund dedicated to students participating in study abroad (including international internships), and study away (including NYC study away internship). Applicants must be full-time undergraduate, degree-seeking students with a major in the College of Arts & Letters. Applicants must also be participating in an MSU-approved, credit-bearing program. Students who meet the eligibility requirements and submit materials by the deadline are guaranteed to receive a scholarship. Award amounts are based on level of financial need via FAFSA, however students with “no need” or no FAFSA on file are still guaranteed to receive some scholarship funds.  Award amounts typically range from $500-$2,000 depending primarily on level of financial need.

These awards are eligible for summer, fall, spring academic year programs. Application deadlines: October 1 for spring programs, Dec 1 for spring break programs, March 1 for summer, fall, and academic year programs.
