MSU students with an advanced level of French will have the opportunity to spend one or two semesters at the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France. It is a public university with over 20,000 students and offers courses in the arts and humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and business. Additionally, the university hosts a center of French studies for foreign students (CUEFEE).
The university is located in Tours, France, which, including its suburbs, has a population of 300,000. It is situated in the heart the Loire Valley, a region listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Tours is a modern city with a prestigious past, with more than 150 historical landmarks and a vibrant cultural life. It is an ideally located and a pleasant place to live, one hour from Paris by high-speed train (TGV).Tours is the largest town in the Loire Valley. Its central location allows one to easily tour the region and see its loveliest sites.
