Michigan College Access Network is now hiring 20 college completion coaches to serve on community college campuses across Michigan. MCAN’s College Completion Corps program will place full-time AmeriCorps members on campuses throughout the state, with a focus on increasing persistence and completion of first-generation college-going students, low-income students, and students of color. Join this new program and its first team of coaches, and help MCAN better serve Michigan students!
The college completion coaches will serve a defined cohort of 100-150 students over the course of a year, guiding students through the development of a college completion plan and assisting with navigation through the academic year. The purpose of this program is to assist students with their acclimation to campus, build their knowledge of campus systems and resources, and help them successfully persist to completion.
This AmeriCorps service position provides a living stipend of $25,000, paid training, health coverage, and a $6,195 education award to offset student loans or future education expenses. Members will serve Dec. 7, 2020 through Dec. 6, 2021.
Applicants will be interviewed and hired on a rolling basis until all placements have been made.
