During this remote internship, my favorite experience was getting to work alongside UX designers who have been in the industry for over a decade, and learning valuable lessons from them. Being able to ask the right questions tailored to your goals and career was extremely important, but having those questions answered was a highlight of this internship. Of course the projects I was able to work on were amazing too!

So far I have learned a lot more about the social media and UX industries, not only from my mentor but also from other interns and managers who were overseeing the design and development of our application. Being an intern really teaches you so much more about what to expect in a real world position that you don’t get to experience as much with classes. I would recommend applying for as many internships as possible even if you don’t think you’re the desired candidate, it will pay off.
