Candlewick Press seeks a dynamic, motivated and talented Marketing & Publicity Assistant to join our Marketing team. Among the wide range of regular duties will be monitoring and compiling press coverage for authors and titles, data entry and marketing database management, promotional copywriting and project trafficking in-house. The ideal candidate will have 1- 3 years’ experience in an administrative role with a background in marketing, public relations and/or publishing.

This role will also be responsible for managing our awards submissions program, facilitating review copy and media requests, and acting as a department liaison for in-house review and promotional materials and managing their dissemination to media and reviewers. Supporting several team members on campaigns across our diverse children’s and young adult list will also be included, which may comprise assistance with building media lists, media pitching, creating tour itineraries, scheduling travel, arranging author escorts, writing press releases and tools and managing promotional materials for events. Excellent organization, writing and computer skills including Microsoft Office are required. Experience with Cision and any other social or digital platform is preferred.
