In recent months, people across the MSU community have committed themselves to positive change. Interest in DEI education has ballooned. We are poised for a shift in our campus culture. This is an opportunity to use your experiences as fuel to be a part of that change.
Transforming Theatre Ensemble (TTE) is teaming up with the Department of Theatre to develop and present a series of student-written and student-performed video vignettes that will be presented in hybrid performance/workshops for members of the MSU community as part of the Department of Theatre’s ’20-’21 theatrical season.
A cohort of student playwrights will work with TTE Artistic Coordinator, Lynn Lammers to develop short scripts that will be used to educate students, faculty, staff, and administrators at MSU. You don’t need to be a theatre major/minor or have any experience with playwriting!
The collaborative writing process will begin early November 2020 with final drafts completed before Thanksgiving break. The time commitment will be approximately ten hours spread out over those three weeks. Once the semester concludes, playwrights will give input on the production process as the videos are created. This will culminate in a series of performances/workshops via Zoom in January and beyond.
