Offering a range of internship opportunities throughout Australia, our partner (GAV) works to connect students with highly relevant placements in a variety of professional fields. Sydney is the largest city in Australia and the capital of the state of New South Wales. As the financial, business, and cultural center of the country, the widest variety of internship opportunities are available including fields such as: International Business & Trade, Marketing & Management, Public Relations, Journalism, Environmental Sustainability, Hospitality & Tourism, Media & Communications, NGOs, and Nonprofits.

Located on the shores of Sydney Harbour, the city of 4 million people is dominated by the twin landmarks of the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, in addition to the coastal areas of Manly and Bondi beach. Sydney’s cosmopolitanism is a reflection of its position at the intersection of aboriginal, British, European, Asian and Pacific cultures, and the city is consistently ranked among the most livable in the world.

The full-time internships are simultaneously experiential and academic and will allow qualified students to work in Australian-based companies, offices, and organizations, and to experience Australian work culture. In addition to the professional and academic experiences of the workplace, cross-cultural competencies and a deepened understanding of Australia are among the objectives of this 8-week program. The program also includes cultural activities such as a live musical performance, trip to a wildlife reservation, surfing lessons, and a professional sporting event. These cultural activities are at an additional cost outside of the program fee.
