The Taiwan Huayu Bilingual Exchanges of Selected Talent (BEST) Program aims to create excellent Chinese learning opportunities for students. The goal of this program is to help MSU students improve their Chinese proficiency through immersive Chinese-learning programs, and expand the accessibility of Chinese learning.

The Institution 

• The International Chinese Language Program (ICLP) at National Taiwan University was founded in 1962 for the purpose of training and developing the oral discursive ability of America’s academic elite. ICLP provides courses in a Chinese-speaking environment which upholds much of its traditional Chinese heritage and culture within the framework of a modern democratic society.

The Location 

• The program is located on the campus of the National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei, Taiwan.
• Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is located in Northern Taiwan and is an enclave of the New Taipei City municipality.
• An urban metropolis, Taipei is mostly located on an ancient lakebed, the Taipei Basin.
