As a Helpdesk Intern, individuals will spend several weeks (most interns stay approximately 6 months) in a training program consisting of on-the-job trainings in the HelpDesk team. This is a learning position which performs a variety of functions specific to the department that corresponds with the intern’s field of study. This individual will be assigned various department projects to complete during their time as a Helpdesk Intern. Helpdesk Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the corporate culture while gaining hands-on experience.MSUFCU’s business hours are:  

  • Monday-Friday (7:00AM- 9:00PM)
  • Saturday (8:45AM- 3:15PM)

A schedule will be determined around the intern’s class schedule.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the HelpDesk Manager, interns will assist the department in various tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Assist with equipment purchasing and receiving, inventory, asset tracking, and recycling.
  • Responsible for imaging and deploying new equipment in conjunction with yearly Equipment Refresh Initiatives.
  • Assist with moving and installing equipment in new offices or accommodating new seating arrangements.
  • Provide assistance with Audio Visual systems and other request technologies for meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve, and coordinate warranty work for broken equipment with vendors.
  • Assist with other technical duties as needed to solve problems and requests that come to the HelpDesk.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • High school diploma required
