Experience local traditions, medieval architecture and award-winning beaches while living with a host family and studying Spanish language and literature in Santander, Spain.
The Department of Romance and Classical Studies, in collaboration with the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) in Santander, offers a Spanish studies program during the summer. While in Spain, students will enroll for nine credits of Spanish coursework and live with a Spanish family. In addition to courses, three excursions will be offered including a 2-night and 3-day trip to Madrid.
The program is open to all majors, but students who have taken Spanish continuously in college and who are Spanish majors or minors are preferred.
