I worked for DCP, also known as the Disney College Program. My role was varied throughout my program. It went from bussing tables and giving food to then flipping burgers, handling cash, and serving ice cream.

How did you obtain your internship? What resources did you utilize to secure your internship?
I went through the classic application, interview, and then the acceptance. I found out about the internship just by scrolling on Indeed and LinkedIn.

What did your daily routine include?
It really depended on what time my work started but I usually start around 10:30 till 4:30 or 5 I would then go home and try to destress. Whether that be watching Hamilton with my friends or playing some games.

Your favorite experience from the internship?
My favorite experiences would be going to different places that would be outside of the Disney bubble and going to places like the beach or going to Universal. I also really enjoyed seeing how festive the parks get for the holidays.

What was your least favorite part of the internship?
Not being able to see family for holidays.

What skills did you learn and/or build upon during your internship?
I learned how to communicate, multitask, and problem-solving.

I don’t truly want to stay in the Disney bubble anymore. My future plans are to expand my sights and my skills somewhere else.

What advice do you have for other students seeking out internship opportunities?
It does get hard and you will wanna give up at times but when the storms are over there are clear skies.
