What was your internship title and role/responsibilities?
My internship title was Creative/Graphic Design Intern with BitGlim in Seoul, South Korea. My primary responsibilities in this role included creating 2D and 3D art.

How did you obtain your internship? What resources did you utilize to secure your internship?
I obtained my internship through the MSU Study Abroad portal, specifically the Seoul Study Abroad Internship program. I applied through this portal and was accepted into the CRCC Asia program, which served as the agency facilitating interviews with multiple companies in Korea. I chose Bitglim after evaluating my options and ultimately secured the internship.

What did your daily routine include?
My daily routine involved arriving at work and focusing on creating 2D and 3D art using Cinema 4D.

Your favorite experience from the internship?
One of my favorite experiences was experimenting with my creativity to develop digital art for Bitglim. A particularly memorable project involved modeling an Oreo and rendering it to appear as a glass-like object, which was both a challenging and fulfilling creative endeavor.

What was your least favorite part of the internship?
The lack of remote work options was likely my least favorite aspect, as it restricted flexibility and the potential for a more adaptable work environment.

What skills did you learn and/or build upon during your internship?
During my internship, I learned to use Cinema 4D extensively. Prior to this experience, I had no knowledge of this advanced program. Now, I am proficient in creating, modeling, and rendering art using Cinema 4D.

What did you learn about the industry or your career path as a result of the internship? What are your future plans?
The internship provided me with a deep understanding of the creative potential within the digital art industry. It reinforced my desire to pursue a career in the design industry, where I can continue to explore and apply my creative skills.

What advice do you have for other students seeking out internship opportunities?
My advice to other students is to take the plunge and apply for internships, even if you have doubts about your chances. You never know what opportunities might arise and how they could shape your future career.
