Participants in this program will be introduced to Australian society and its education system. They will explore the culture, natural science, history, social dimensions, and business practices of Australia while studying at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Students from all MSU colleges are welcome to apply, although preference will be given to students from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.
QUT is a comprehensive university offering more than 150 undergraduate and postgraduate programs and more than 4,000 courses within:
- Art, Design, & Creative Industries
- Business
- Education
- Health
- Humanities & Human Services
- Information Technology and Sciences
The university has more than 40,000 students including 5,000 international students on three campuses – Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and Carseldine. Students can take the “City Cat” ferries along the Brisbane River with a central stop at QUT’s Gardens Point Campus in the city center, as well as a free shuttle bus between the three campuses. In addition to academics, students studying at QUT may experience the many natural attractions of Queensland including surfing the world-famous gold coast, feeding the wild dolphins on Moreton Island, snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef and exploring the Daintree (the oldest rainforest on earth).
