Spend a semester taking social science classes inside of an 18th century Baroque palace in the heart of Germany.
This program type is designed for students seeking a rigorous and self-guided experience. To be successful, students must commit to uphold a significant degree of proactivity and professionalism. Students are often required to secure their own housing, book individual flights, obtain a student visa/residence permit, etc. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with program information and seek out additional support and resources as needed. Additionally, students can anticipate being one of few MSU students on this program during any given term.
The Institution:
- University of Mannheim is housed in the Schloss Mannheim, an 18th century Baroque palace.
- The university is home to 12,000 degree-seeking students, 16% of which are international. In addition, Mannheim welcomes approximately 1,100 exchange students each year from all over the world.
- In 2019, QS World University Rankings gave University of Mannheim number one in Germany for Social Sciences and Business & Economics.
- The university is home to over 40 student clubs for you to get involved in.
