My favorite experience so far as a Social Media and Journalism intern for Women in Art (WIA) has been writing articles for the publication. I had an artist spotlight published on the website and soon I will have exhibition reviews and another artist spotlight posted. I have also been able to learn a lot about rising women artists from all around the world. Because I’m super interested in the arts, I always find this work interesting and fun!

I have learned a lot about the professional art world, which I was unfamiliar with before starting the position. I have also become a lot more familiar with the work and techniques of particular visual artists which has been invaluable for me. And I have become more accustomed to the differences in workplace culture between the U.S. and the U.K.. Since my internship is completely remote, I also improved my technological skills this summer too.
