Community Resilience Summer Internship

The Michigan Community Service Commission, the state’s lead agency on volunteerism, is seeking individuals to serve as a Summer Associate through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Individuals will serve with the Michigan Community Service Commission or a nonprofit organization in Michigan to support capacity building in the areas of health, education, veterans, disaster recovery, economic opportunity, or equity and social justice. Fellows will be able to select one or more of the listed focus activities that match their interest, skills, and career pathway. The position will be mainly remote except for in-person special events.

Applicants may select their service start date in May, June, or July and last for 8-10 weeks. Position provides stipend of $575 bi-weekly and upon successful completion of program and additional Education Award of $1,311.11 in college funding or minimum cash stipend of $276.
