My internship title was a showroom assistant and I would help with merchandising and other tasks around the showrooms. Such as setting up stylists to do polls for photo shoots, or contacting brands, emailing stylists to see if they used any of the pieces they pulled from the showroom, updating press decks, and things like that.

Hope Bennethum

I am responsible for designing and producing print materials such as booklets, brochures, and posters for events hosted in any of the Kresge galleries, Scene Metrospace, and the MSU Union Art Gallery. Additionally, I manage our social media accounts and website. I also handle photography and videography for use across various platforms. My role also involves extensive work with printing, cutting, and installing vinyl, as well as working on communication projects such as writing and sending out emails.

I wore, what some would say “a lot of different hats” at my internship. Being at a smaller organization meant I had the opportunity to complete a lot of different types of tasks. Usually, every week, my main responsibilities included conducting research on mobility and transportation issues within Lebanon and the Arab Region, assisting in writing and developing grant or funding proposals, as well as writing blogs on global mobility trends and challenges.

Jaznay Lora

The internship title I held was the Sales and Marketing Intern position where I assisted in generating sales and supporting the sales floor by providing an excellent customer experience. I assisted in the visual merchandising of the store and off-site duties like running to the post office or grabbing coffee for a meeting. I completed daily sales floor tasks and monthly projects that dealt with research in terms of the company and partnerships to expand and generate profit.
