Communications Summer Internship

The Michigan Community Service Commission, the state’s lead agency on volunteerism, is seeking individuals for a summer communications internship through the AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates program. Individuals will be able to utilize the talents in social media, graphic design, videography, media relations and marketing for a variety of volunteer and service initiatives in Michigan. They will also help support the volunteer recognition event at the capital to celebrate the MI Heroes Campaign.

Individuals will serve with the Michigan Community Service Commission or a nonprofit organization in Michigan to support capacity building in the areas of health, education, veterans, disaster recovery, economic opportunity, or equity and social justice. Fellows will be able to select one or more of the listed focus activities that match their interest, skills, and career pathway. The position will be mainly remote except for in-person special events.
