The Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation empowers students to learn through action by providing programs, courses, and resources to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and create new ventures. This position is a paid, part-time position. The intern will be working at the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation offices, the Gaynor Entrepreneurship Lab as well as offsite locations during some events.

Tasks May Include:

  • Conduct Orientations and Information sessions for the Minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • Conduct Peer-to-Peer Advising
  • Brand ambassador for the Burgess Institute at various events
  • Learn and facilitate workshops
  • Oversee current course information on the program website

  • Excellent communicator (e-mail, verbal, and customer service, presentation)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinker
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule, including day, evening and some weekend
  • Proficient knowledge of Google (Drive, Docs and Sheets)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge+ in WordPress
  • Willing to seek more training in order to increase knowledge
  • Willing to take on additional tasks when needed

Successful applicants have to be in good academic standing and able to commit at least 10+ hours per week toward the work effort. Ideal candidates would have Tuesdays and Thursdays free in the Fall 2021 (but not required).
